Cindy completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland in 2018, graduating with first class honours. During her time working as a dentist in regional Western Australia, she was commended with distinctions in the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) Primary Examinations. Cindy’s interest in helping patients to restore their dental aesthetics and function led her to pursue specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2022. During this time, her research thesis on analogue versus digital workflows for aesthetic prosthodontic planning won the Postgraduate Research Award from the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists.

Cindy has a passion for giving back to the dental community, having held past roles as Secretary of the Melbourne Dental Postgraduate Group, Vice President of the Australian Dental Students Association and Secretary of the University of Queensland Dental Students Association.

She has also been involved in tutoring the next generation of dentists as a demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. Cindy continues to be involved in dental education through lecturing at study clubs and strives to maintain up-to-date knowledge by being a member of professional organisations such as the International Team for Implantology, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Australasian Osseointegration Society, International College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists and Australian Dental Association.

Dr Justin Le

BDSc(Hons)(UQ), DClinDent(Pros)(UQ), MRACDS(PDS)

Dr Justin Le is a Specialist Prosthodontist with an interest in aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. He completed his general dental degree in 2017 from The University of Queensland. After working as a general dentist for several years, he returned to his alma mater to complete his specialist degree in Prosthodontics.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Justin combines technical expertise with a creative approach to deliver personalised treatment plans for complex dental challenges. He finds great fulfilment in guiding patients through their rehabilitation, often collaborating with other specialists to achieve exceptional results.

To maintain the highest level of care, Justin is a member of several esteemed professional organisations, including:

  • Australian Dental Association (ADA)

  • Australian Prosthodontic Society (APS)

  • Academy of Australian & New Zealand Prosthodontists (AANZP)

  • International College of Prosthodontists (ICP)

Dr Gidon Fixler

BHSc, MDent, DClinDent

Dr. Fixler completed his Masters of Dentistry at Latrobe University in 2017, graduating dux of his class. Gidon subsequently completed his Primary Examinations for the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2018.

Dr. Fixler developed his clinical skills in Private practice in Ballarat and South East Melbourne before commencing his specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2021. Gidon enjoys all aspects of prosthodontics, however, he has a particular interest in digital removable and fixed prosthodontic workflows.

Dr. Fixler is also actively involved with continuing education and lectures regularly on a national level. Gidon is a demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and Latrobe University. In addition, he is a committee member for the Australian Prosthodontic Society (Victorian branch). He is also involved with the gDR Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Diploma programme. When he is not in clinical practice or teaching, Dr. Fixler is an avid rock climber.

Question 1: What is the format and schedule for the events?

The events are structured as a Sunday Brunch running from approximately 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The schedule includes:

Part 1 Lecture (9:00 – 11 am): Single Posterior Implant and Decision Making

Brunch (11:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Part 2 Lecture (12:00 – 2:00 pm): Single Anterior Implant and Decision Making, followed by a close.

Question 3: Will there be a hands-on component?

Yes, there will be an opportunity to experience implant restoration kits provided by Straumann. These "lunch and learn kits" include prosthetic models, membranates, and restorative componentry. The kits may be set up at tables or available near the sponsor booths during the brunch break for attendees to practice
